Product: HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-One Printer
Operating System: Android 9.0 Pie

My internet access is provided by one of two android hotspots.  I don't have another router.  My Ubuntu laptop connects to the internet through the hotspot.

123.hp says hp2755e is not supported by Ubuntu 22.04.  Is there a straight forward way to connect the printer to the smartphone and use it to print?  Or use one phone as the hotspot for internet access and the other phone to provide a bluetooth/wifi connection?

The answer which serves my immediate need can be found by rereading the instructions multiple times.  

Look for WiFi Direct.  With WiFi Direct, I can disconnect from the internet, connect to the printer, select a print-enabled file from my laptop and print it.   Reconnect the laptop to the internet.

I suspect that connecting one Android to the printer and using the hot spot on the other Android, I might be able to print and stay connected to the internet.

I will have to read more and explore to see if I can use the scanner function.
