Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

I have an HP 6000 printer that has worked for a number of years with the wireless net work but recently disconnected and even though I have unplugged it several times and hit the reset button on the Wi-Fi, It will not be seen now.

I tried using the HP set up and it always times out right when I’m entering the net work password for Wi-Fi. It does see the hp setup wifi selection. it just goes in circles and then says there’s not a good enough Bluetooth connection.

I had moved it closer to the router, and I have even reset the router. i’ve done this with both a phone where I was working before as well as an iPad, and both will not work. Is there a factory reset for this?

Hi @Alexkarayan8 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you've already taken several troubleshooting steps, but let's see if we can find a solution. Here are a few additional things you can try:

  • Factory Reset: Yes, there is usually a factory reset option for most printers, including the HP Envy series. To perform a factory reset, you typically need to access the printer's settings menu. Since the exact steps can vary depending on the model, I recommend referring to the printer's manual for specific instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
  • Check Network Settings: Ensure that your printer is set to connect to the correct network. Sometimes, printers can get stuck trying to connect to a different network or an outdated network profile. You can usually access network settings through the printer's control panel or via its web interface (if available).
  • Update Firmware: Make sure your printer has the latest firmware installed. Sometimes, firmware updates can fix connectivity issues and improve overall performance. You can usually check for firmware updates through the printer's settings menu or by visiting the HP website. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Restart Router: Try restarting your router again, but this time, leave it unplugged for at least 30 seconds before plugging it back in. This ensures that the router fully resets and clears any temporary network issues.
  • Forget Network: On your printer, forget the current Wi-Fi network and then try reconnecting to it again from scratch. This can sometimes resolve issues with network connectivity.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I took the advise of the staff here and I turned off and unplugged both the router and the printer.
I waited for the router to reset and I actually had to go into the TV to get it going again from the prompts and then set my printer close to the router and turned it back on.

Used the HP app to add again and had the router password ready.

followed the promos and it connected!

was going to get a printer cable to usb c to connect to the router next but no need now.
