Product: HP Smart App

We have a user that uses HP Smart App to scan from. He has multiple MFP printers installed across various locations. These printers are all network printers with static IPs. What we have seen is that if he has not been to a location for some time, HP Smart App removes those printers from his list and they have to be re-added. This is a senior user and is causing him inconvenience. Is this behavior by design? Can it be disabled? If there a better alternative?
