Hi @Mystery_Editor,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand how annoying it can be when your HP Smart Tank 6000 printer won’t connect after a Wi-Fi name change. It’s like your printer is still looking for a friend who moved without leaving a forwarding address.

Let’s gently guide it back to the right network.

Steps to Reconnect Your HP Smart Tank 6000 to the New Wi-Fi Network

Option 1: Use the HP App (Recommended)

  1. Open the HP app on your Windows 11 PC or mobile device.
  2. Tap “+” to add a printer (if not already added).
  3. Select your printer → go to Advanced Settings.
  4. Navigate to Network → Wireless Setup Wizard.
  5. Choose your new Wi-Fi network name and enter the password.

Option 2: Reset Wireless Settings on the Printer

If the printer is still trying to connect to the old network:

  1. On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button together for 5 seconds.
  2. This will reset the wireless settings.
  3. Reopen the HP app and follow the setup prompts to connect to the new network.

Option 3: Use WPS (if your router supports it)

  1. Press the WPS button on your router.
  2. Within 2 minutes, press and hold the Wireless button on the printer until it starts blinking.
  3. The printer should connect automatically.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
