Hi @Sp1957,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I can help you get the HP ENVY 5000 series communicating with your iPhone and iPad again. Since it worked previously, I would first check the printer's network connection and how the Apple devices are connected before making any changes.
HP confirms that the ENVY 5000 series supports Apple AirPrint and the HP app. For AirPrint to work normally, the printer and iPhone/iPad need to be connected to the same local Wi-Fi network.
First, could you confirm these details?
- What happens when you try to print from the iPhone or iPad?
- Does the printer appear but fail to print?
- Does it say “No AirPrint Printers Found”?
- Or does the printer not appear at all?
- Which app are you using?
- Apple's normal Print/AirPrint option
- HP app
- Another app
- Are the printer, iPhone, and iPad connected to the same Wi-Fi network name?
- Is the Wi-Fi on the printer currently connected? If your printer has a wireless light, is it solid or blinking/off?
- Have you recently changed your Wi-Fi router, Wi-Fi password, or Internet provider?
- Are the iPhone/iPad connected to your private home Wi-Fi, rather than a guest/public network?
One basic check
Restart the printer and the iPhone/iPad. Then check the Wi-Fi settings on the Apple device and make sure it is connected to your normal home Wi-Fi. HP recommends restarting the printer and mobile device when an HP printer is not being detected by iOS.
If the printer is not connected to Wi-Fi, we will need to reconnect the ENVY 5000 to your home network before AirPrint or the HP app can find it.
If you are seeing an error or “No AirPrint Printers Found,” a screenshot of that message or a photo of the printer's display/Wi-Fi light would help me see exactly what is happening.
Once you provide those details, I can guide you through the correct HP steps for your specific situation without having you repeat unnecessary troubleshooting.
Take care and have an amazing day!

Good morning. iPhone, iPad, and printer are all on the same private home WiFi . I print from Apple’s air printer option. The message I receive is “no air print printers found.”. The blue light on the printer is solid.
I have been printing this way for a few years now.

Hi @Sp1957,
Thank you for the additional details. Since your HP ENVY 5000 series printer has been printing successfully through Apple AirPrint for years and the wireless light is solid blue, the printer does appear to be connected to your Wi‑Fi network.
A few questions that will help us narrow this down:
- Can your iPhone or iPad still see the printer in the HP App, or is it missing there as well?
- Has anything changed recently, such as a new router, internet provider, Wi‑Fi settings change, or iOS update?
- Are your iPhone/iPad connected to the same Wi‑Fi network as the printer, and not to a guest network or VPN?
- Are you able to print a Network Configuration Report from the printer and confirm it has a valid IP address?
As a quick check:
- Restart the printer.
- Restart the iPhone/iPad.
- Restart the router.
- After everything reconnects, try printing again using AirPrint.
- If AirPrint still reports "No AirPrint Printers Found," open the HP App and check whether the printer is detected there.
Also, does the printer appear on all Apple devices in your home, or is the issue limited to one iPhone or iPad?
Let us know the answers to the above questions, and we'll work with you to determine whether this is an AirPrint discovery issue, a network communication issue, or a printer connection issue.
