Problem:
I own an HP OfficeJet Pro 7720. The printer shows as connected to the cloud and it is correctly detected in the HP app, but it does not appear in HP Smart. Whenever I try to print through Web Services / HP ePrint, the jobs don’t start.

What I tried (unsuccessfully):

Verified that printer and devices are on the same Wi-Fi network (no guest or mixed bands).

Updated both the printer firmware and the HP Smart app.

Tested local printing directly from my PC: it works fine.

Removed and re-added the printer, trying both cloud and local connection.

Tried printing via HP ePrint email address, but it doesn’t work.

Disabled Web Services, rebooted the printer, re-enabled them, and tried again.

Result:
Local printing works perfectly, but cloud printing (HP ePrint / Web Services print everywhere) still does not start. The printer does not appear in HP Smart, only in the HP app, and cloud jobs are not processed.

Print everywhere is allowed into the app

Welcome to the HP Community --

ePrint has always been "Use it when it works".

For years, there has been no actual support -- the ePrint service was free and was generally stable.  On the occasions when the ePrint service was interrupted, that service would be restored within hours or perhaps days or a little longer.

I've seen instances within the last several months that describe ePrint as not working.

One agent described the ePrint service as being in its "sunset".

Not a colleague so I could not ask -- I interpret the agent's remarks to mean that ePrint is finally being discontinued - and, in fact, might have been discontinued.   ?

What to do?

Will ePrint work again?

Unknown.

If not tried, perhaps Restart your router

What else?

I will mark this thread to the attention of our moderator team.

Should there be an agent response, look for a message here before the agent uses other methods to contact you.

Notes / Details

There is not a same-like ePrint replacement for standard printers.

Print Anywhere is now offered as a premium service on eligible HP+ printers when the HP+ service contract is enabled .

AND

Print Anywhere is also available on select non-HP+ printer models.

Print Anywhere is different from ePrint in the way the service is managed --

Print Anywhere is accessed through the HP Smart application (HP App where HP Smart has been replaced).

Your printer, an older model, is not eligible for HP+ nor is the printer in the list of non-HP+ printers that support Print Anywhere.

Where supported by model and enabled, HP Smart (Windows) will include Print Anywhere in Printer Settings.
