Hi. I have a hp officejet pro 9018e and I cannot gain access to the control panel. I forgot the username and password. I need to reset the unit so I can connect to a new wireless network. Right now it's on no network.

Hi @Loveme1990
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To reset your HP OfficeJet Pro 9018e printer so that you can access the control panel and reconnect it to a new wireless network, follow these steps:
Step 1: Perform a Factory Reset
This will erase any saved settings, including the username and password for the control panel, allowing you to set it up from scratch.
Turn Off the Printer:
- Press the Power button to turn off your printer.
Reset Using the Control Panel:
- Press and hold the Cancel button (a red circle with a line through it) and the Wi-Fi button (the one with the wireless symbol).
- While holding both buttons, press the Power button to turn the printer back on.
- Keep holding the Cancel and Wi-Fi buttons until the Power light starts flashing (around 10 seconds).
- The printer should now reset to its factory settings, erasing any saved Wi-Fi or login information.
Reconfigure the Printer:
- Once the reset is complete, the printer will be in its default state and ready to reconnect to your network.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to select your language and region.
Step 2: Reconnect to a New Network
After performing the reset, you can reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network:
- Wireless Setup:
- On the printer's display, tap the Wi-Fi icon to open the wireless settings.
- Select Wireless Setup Wizard to start searching for available networks.
- Choose your new Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the network password.
- Once connected, the printer should be back on your new wireless network.
Step 3: Access Control Panel After Reset
- Now that your printer is on the network, you should be able to access the printer’s control panel from the printer itself or through the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
