I have a wireless hp 3050a printer. I recently changed wireless routers and I cannot get the printer to connect to wifi. When I do the wps or pin setup through the printer I get a wps error message. When I do setup through the software on my computer using usb cable I get an error telling me password doesn't match. I have reset the router and have verified 2Ghz is what I am trying to connect to as well as the correct network and password. I have factory reset the printer and tried again. It is a Linksys ac1200 router. All my other devices connect no problem. If I remove the password to the network and have an open network I can get the printer to connect. But I am not in a place where I want to have an open network. When I go directly into the printers ip address setup on my computer I am unable to access the secure web page to try and enter the name and password manually on the printer along with the router ip address. I'm not sure what else to do. I haven't had this problem until this router.

This did not work. I got a different brand of router and after the third brand I was finally able to connect it again. So no solution was reached. Thanks

Hi @James8219 ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.

I see you need help with the Officejet printer connectivity. Please do not worry I am here to help you.
Check Network Connection: Ensure that your printer is within the range of your Wi-Fi network and that there are no obstacles affecting the signal.
To restore the printer to the original network settings:
- Disconnect the power cord from the router.
- Turn off the printer.
- Turn off the mobile device/PC.
- Reconnect the power cord to the router, then wait for the Internet activity light to display a normal connected status.
- Turn on the printer.
- Turn on the mobile device/PC.
Run the setup wizard to get the printer connected to the new network.
- Remove HP Smart App from your mobile device (if already installed).
- From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).
- Touch Network Setup.
- Touch Restore Network Settings. A message appears stating that the network defaults will be restored.
- Touch Yes.
- Print the network configuration page and verify that the network settings have been reset.
Once done, Please reinstall the HP smart app, open the app, and click on add printer on top. Select your printer and follow the on-screen instructions to get your printer configured on the app.
