Hi @blu-bug,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry that your HP Smart Tank 7301 printer has stopped responding to print requests from Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad, or MacBook, try the following troubleshooting steps:

Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple devices.
  • Restart your printer and your Apple devices to refresh the network connection.
  • Test the network connection by printing a Network Configuration Report from your printer’s control panel.

Update Printer and Device Software:

  • Ensure that the printer's firmware and drivers are up-to-date. You can do this via the HP Smart app or HP's support website.
  • Make sure your Apple devices have the latest iOS, iPadOS, or macOS updates installed.

AirPrint Setup:

  • Confirm that your HP Smart Tank 7301 is AirPrint-enabled and AirPrint is correctly set up. Check for the AirPrint certified mark on your printer or documentation.
  • On your Apple devices, make sure the respective AirPrint settings are enabled and properly configured.

Clear Print Queue:

  • If any print jobs are stuck in the print queue, clearing them might resolve the issue. On your Apple device, navigate to the print queue and cancel or restart any stuck print jobs.

Reset Network Settings:

  • Consider resetting the network settings on the printer. This could help resolve connectivity issues:
  • Go to the printer’s control panel, navigate to the Network menu, and select "Restore Network Settings."

Re-add Printer:

  • On your Apple devices, remove the printer from your list of available printers and set it up again.

Take care and have an amazing day!
