@Alinnh, Welcome to HP Support Community!
Update iOS to the most recent version.
-
From your mobile device, touch the Settings app, and then touch General.
-
Touch Software Update.
Your device automatically searches for the latest iOS update.
-
If an update is available, touch Download and Install, and then follow the on-screen instructions to install the update.
NOTE:
For more information about iOS updates, go to Update the iOS on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch (in English).
If no update is available, continue to the next step.
After the software update is complete, try to print.
Remove the HP SmartApp from your iOS device and restart the printer and the phone.
Now, install the HP Smart App and try launching it.

Also I have a c6280 printer. It’s just that the app won’t launch when selected. I thought of deleting the app from the ios cloud before reinstalling but I didn’t want to delete my files that live in the cloud. My reinstalls come from the cloud which may be corrupted. Any ideas?

Thanks for replying!
What is the iOS version installed on your phone?
May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
Keep me posted.

The mentioned printer is not compatible with HP Smart App. Refer to the document https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03722645 fro the list of compatible printers.
I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!
