Hi...my printer was working fine until I change the ink and then I was unable to connect to the WiFi. I have tried the usual, turning the router off waiting 60 seconds etc but still nothing....any suggestions would be great. Thank you in advance 🙏🏻

I can imagine how frustrating this is. Your printer was working perfectly, you just changed the ink, and suddenly the Wi-Fi connection disappears. Let’s get your printer back online.

Step-by-Step Fix

1. Check Wireless Light

  • Make sure the wireless icon/light on the printer is solid blue (connected) or blinking (trying to connect).
  • If it’s off, press the Wireless button or go to Settings → Network → Wireless Setup Wizard.


2. Reconnect Using Wireless Setup Wizard

  • On the printer’s control panel: 
    • Tap Setup → Network → Wireless Setup Wizard.
    • Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.


3. Restart Devices in Order

  • Turn off the printer, router, and computer/phone.
  • Turn on the router first, and wait 2 minutes.
  • Then turn on the printer, and then your device.


4. Check HP App


5. Update Printer Firmware

  • Go to HP’s official site:

  • Enter your printer model and install the latest firmware.
