@Scott662, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Initial Wi-Fi Connection:
- When you first set up the printer, connect it to your Wi-Fi network by using the "Wi-Fi Protected Setup" (WPS) method if your router supports it.
- Press the WPS button on your router, then press the Wireless button on the printer and hold it for three seconds.
- If WPS is not supported, follow the steps below for a non-WPS setup.
Non-WPS Setup:
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or smartphone. If you don't have it, you can download it from the HP website.
- Make sure your device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network that you want your printer to connect to.
- Follow the prompts in the HP Smart app to find and install your printer.
Network Name (SSID) and Password:
- You will need your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and Wi-Fi password to connect your printer. If you're unsure about these, check the label on your router, or contact your Internet Service Provider for assistance.
Also, you may refer to this guide: Find the wireless network password or PIN to connect an HP printer | HP® Support
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
