Hi @RAJBHAN1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you want your HP laptop to stay connected to both the internet and your printer at the same time. Let’s go through the options step by step so you can set this up smoothly.

If Your Printer is Wireless (Wi‑Fi)

Connect the printer to the same Wi‑Fi network as your laptop.

Once both are on the same network, the laptop can access the internet and the printer simultaneously.

Use the HP Smart app or Add Printer in Windows settings to complete the setup.

If Your Printer is USB‑Connected

Plug the printer into your laptop with a USB cable.

The laptop will still use Wi‑Fi for internet while the printer works over USB.

This way, both connections run at the same time without conflict.

If Your Printer is Wi‑Fi Direct

Wi‑Fi Direct creates a direct link between the printer and laptop, but it disconnects you from the router.

To keep internet access, avoid Wi‑Fi Direct and instead connect the printer to your router’s Wi‑Fi.

This ensures both internet and printer connections are active together.

Check Windows Settings

Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.

Add your printer while your laptop is connected to Wi‑Fi.

Once added, you’ll be able to print and browse online at the same time.

I hope this helps.
