I am having trouble with print jobs.  Frequently jobs do not transfer or they stall and will not let me cancel a job.  I have reset internet router computer and printer ( both HP ) and now nothing happens when I hit print.  there are no errors on the printer, Printer Smart Tank 5101 Please Help

 I understand how  it must be when your printer refuses to connect, especially after you’ve already tried restarting everything. L

 

Could you please confirm  whether your HP Smart Tank 5101 is connected via Wi‑Fi or USB

 

Here are a few things you can try right away:
 

Clear print queue: On your computer, open the print queue and manually delete any stuck jobs. If they won’t cancel, restarting the “Print Spooler” service (on Windows) often helps.

Reinstall printer driver: Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause jobs to stall. Uninstall the printer from your system and reinstall it using the latest HP Smart app or drivers from HP’s support website https://support.hp.com/ .

Check printer connection: If you’re on Wi‑Fi, ensure the printer and computer are on the same network. If possible, try connecting via USB to see if the issue persists.
