Hi @Vishal_Vasistha,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I know how frustrating it can be when your Samsung Galaxy A70 just won’t connect to your HP Smart Tank 589 printer over Wi-Fi, especially when you're ready to print something important and the connection simply refuses to cooperate. Let’s walk through this together.

Step-by-Step Fix: Connect Samsung Galaxy A70 to HP Smart Tank 589 via Wi-Fi

1. Install the HP App

Make sure you have the HP app installed from HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site.

  • Open the app and grant all permissions.
  • Ensure your phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer to use.

2. Enable Wi-Fi Setup Mode on the Printer

If the printer was previously connected to another network, it may need to be reset.

  • Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer until the light starts blinking.
  • This puts the printer into Wi-Fi setup mode.

3. Connect via HP App

  • Open the HP app on your phone.
  • Tap “+” to add a printer.
  • Select your HP Smart Tank 589 from the list.
  • Follow the on-screen steps to connect the printer to Wi-Fi.

If it asks for a Wi-Fi Direct password, you can find it printed on a label inside the printer or on the control panel screen.

4. Install HP Print Service Plugin (Optional but Recommended)

This helps Android devices communicate better with HP printers.

5. Restart Everything

Sometimes a simple restart clears up hidden glitches.

  • Restart your printer, router, and phone.
  • Make sure the printer is awake and not in sleep mode.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
