Hi @Rwilson79,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about a minute.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Check for Error Messages:

  • Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the printer.
  • Open the paper tray and check for any paper jams or misalignment of paper.

Clear the Print Queue:

  • Cancel all print jobs from your device's print queue to clear any blockages.
  • On Windows, go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and cancel all documents.

Check for Cartridge Issues:

  • Open the cartridge access door and ensure the cartridges are seated properly.
  • If the cartridges are low on ink or not installed correctly, it might cause the printer to halt operations.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor (For Windows Users):

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor utility from the HP Support website.
  • Follow the instructions to diagnose and fix any issues found.

Reset the Printer:

  • Press and hold the Power button for a few seconds.
  • Release the button and check if the issue persists.

Firmware Update:

  • Check for a firmware update through the HP Smart app or the HP website, as updating firmware can solve existing bugs.

I hope this helps.
