@Cooper8850, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Wi-Fi Connectivity for HP Envy 6400 Printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the Wi-Fi connectivity issue with your HP Envy 6400 printer:
Check Network Connection:
- Move the printer and the computer or mobile device closer to the Wi-Fi router to ensure a strong signal.
- Check if the Wi-Fi network is working properly by opening a website on your computer or mobile device.
- Restart the router by disconnecting the power cord, waiting for 15 seconds, and then reconnecting it.
Ensure the Printer is Ready:
- Make sure the printer is turned on.
- If the printer has a touch screen or control panel, make sure it is not in sleep mode by pressing the Power button or touching the screen.
Check the Wi-Fi Signal on the Printer:
- Ensure that the Wi-Fi light is on. If it is not, the printer is not connected to the network.
Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode:
- For printers without a touchscreen control panel: Press and hold the Wireless button and the Power button on the back of the printer for five seconds. The blue bar will flash, indicating the printer is in Wi-Fi setup mode.
- For HP Deskjet 6000 and 6400, ENVY 6000 and 6400, and Tango printers: Press and hold the Wi-Fi button and the Power button on the back of the printer for five seconds until the blue bar flashes. Within two minutes, press and hold the WPS button on the router until the connection process begins. The blue bar stops flashing when the connection is complete.
Connect to Wi-Fi Network:
- For Printers with a Touchscreen Control Panel:
- Open the Setup, Network, or Wireless Settings menu.
- Select Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the instructions to select your network name and enter the password.
- For Printers without a Touchscreen Control Panel:
- Press and hold the Wireless button for five seconds until the wireless light starts to flash. Within two minutes, press and hold the WPS button on the router until the connection process begins. The printer wireless light stops flashing when the connection completes.
Restart Devices:
- Restart both the printer and the computer or mobile device to clear possible error conditions.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
