HP Envy 7643

My printer successfully connected to the WiFi but I cannot find my WPS PIN to complete Wireless Printing setup. I printed the Network Configuration Page but it was not in there. This printer isn’t showing up on my HP Smart app so I can’t access it there either. I have restarted both my computer and my printer.

Hi @Lisa1023,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you can’t find the WPS PIN for your printer and it’s not showing up in the HP Smart app, here are some steps you can follow to complete the wireless printing setup without needing the WPS PIN:

1. Use WPS Push Button Method

Find the WPS Button on Your Router:

  • Locate the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) button on your WiFi router. It may be labeled as "WPS" or have a symbol resembling two arrows forming a circle.

Initiate WPS on Your Printer:

  • On your printer, navigate to the Wireless Setup or Network Setup menu. Look for an option like WPS or WiFi Protected Setup.

Select WPS Push Button:

  • Choose the WPS Push Button option from your printer’s menu. Your printer will now wait for a connection.

Press the WPS Button on Router:

  • Within a couple of minutes, press the WPS button on your router. Your router and printer will communicate and establish a connection.

2. Use HP Smart App for Setup

Check Printer Connection:

  • Ensure your printer is connected to the WiFi network (even if not visible in the HP Smart app).

Reinstall HP Smart App:

Add Printer Using App:

  • Open the HP Smart app and follow the prompts to add your printer. The app should search for printers on the same network.

Follow Setup Instructions:

  • The app may guide you through the process of completing the setup, even if you don’t have the WPS PIN.

3. Manual Wireless Setup via Printer Control Panel

  • On your printer’s control panel, go to Wireless Settings or Network Settings.
  • Choose Wireless Setup Wizard. This option allows the printer to search for available WiFi networks.:
  • Choose your WiFi network from the list and enter the network password when prompted.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
