Hi @PaulMS99

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand the concern. The flashing blue Wireless light and the flashing Wi‑Fi icon with an exclamation mark on your HP Smart Tank 7308 indicate that the printer is not connected to a wireless network and needs to be placed back into Wi‑Fi setup mode before reconnecting.

Please try the following:

Restore Wi‑Fi Setup Mode

  • Press the Cancel button to ready the printer.
  • Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons together until the Power button starts blinking.
  • Wait about 60 seconds until the Wireless light blinks blue. This puts the printer into Wi‑Fi setup mode.

Reconnect the Printer

  • Ensure your Windows 11 PC is connected to the same Wi‑Fi network you want the printer to use.
  • Open the HP App.
  • Click Add Printer and allow the app to discover the printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi‑Fi network.

If the Printer Is Still Not Found

  • Move the printer closer to the router.
  • Temporarily disconnect any Ethernet connection from the PC during setup.
  • Enable Bluetooth on the PC, as the HP App may use it to help detect the printer during setup.

Alternative WPS Method

  • Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer for about 5 seconds until the wireless light flashes.
  • Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your router.
  • Wait for the wireless light to stop flashing, indicating a successful connection.

Once connected, the blue Wireless light should remain steady and the Wi‑Fi icon should no longer show the exclamation mark.

If the issue continues, please let us know whether the printer was previously connected to this network or if this is a new Wi‑Fi setup.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
