Hello everyone. I need help with my DeskJet 2721e printer because a few years ago i set up a custom password for the EWS and now i've forgotten it. If there is any way of hard-resetting the printer or changing the password back to the original it would be of great help. Thanks.

I'd be happy to help you! 

 

The firmware must be updated first if an older version is installed, else the reset will not be made.
Please update the printer's firmware by selecting your current OS. Click here

 

You will need to follow the instructions below to solve this issue:

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. While applying power to the printer, press and hold the Color Copy () and Resume () buttons.

 

If the reset does not work, I recommend that you contact HP Technical Support. Contact HP HP Support in your country/region.
