Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have an HP OfficeJet 5255 which connects wireless to my windows 10 laptop.  I upgraded my EERO device (use Frontier) and can no longer connect to the printer.

@George1953-, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Printer connectivity issue!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I know how frustrating it feels when everything’s working fine and then a new router makes the printer suddenly invisible. Let’s try to get your OfficeJet 5255 talking to your laptop again:

Reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi – On the printer’s touchscreen, go to Setup > Wireless Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard and connect it to your new Eero Wi-Fi network. (Make sure you pick the right band—2.4GHz works best for most printers.)

Forget & re-add on laptop – On your Windows 10 laptop, remove the printer from Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners, then add it back once it’s on the new Wi-Fi.

Restart everything – Power off your printer, router, and laptop. Then turn them back on in this order: router → printer → laptop. This helps the network “see” the devices fresh.

HP Smart app check – Open HP Smart, and if the printer doesn’t appear, tap Add Printer to guide it back onto your network.

If you’ve got both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands on your Eero, make sure your laptop and printer are on the same one—it makes the connection smoother.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
