Hi @dudley15,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

It sounds like your HP LaserJet Pro 3001 is not recognizing the document sent for printing, while your Epson printer works fine. Here are a few questions and troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

  • Have you checked if the HP printer is set as the default printer on your iMac?
  • Is the printer connected via Wi-Fi or USB, and are you experiencing any connectivity issues?
  • Are there any error messages or alerts on the iMac or printer when attempting to print?

  • Check default printer settings: Make sure your HP LaserJet Pro 3001 is set as the default printer in your iMac’s printer settings.
  • Reinstall printer drivers: Remove the printer from your iMac, download the latest driver from HP’s website, and reinstall it to ensure proper configuration.
  • Test with another application: Try printing from a different app (such as TextEdit or Preview) to determine if the issue is application-specific.
  • Reset the printer queue: Go to your printer settings on the iMac, clear any pending print jobs, and restart the print spooler.
  • Network connection check: If using Wi-Fi, make sure the HP printer is connected to the same network as your iMac. You can also try restarting the router and printer to refresh the connection.

This could be due to compatibility issues with your current OS IMAC sequoia.

Below are the snapshots of the compatible versions of OS which would help.
