Hi @RickiDi
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP printer, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.
To connect your HP LaserJet Pro M15w printer to your new network and reset it from the old network, you’ll need to follow a series of steps to clear the old settings and connect to the new Wi-Fi. Since this model doesn’t have a display, you’ll use the blue flashing light and the printer’s WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) functionality for configuration.
Steps to Reset and Connect Your HP LaserJet Pro M15w to the New Network
Step 1: Reset the Printer’s Network Settings
To reset your printer’s network settings, follow these steps:
- Turn off the printer.
- Press and hold the Wireless button (the blue button on the printer).
- Turn the printer back on, while continuing to hold the Wireless button.
- After a few seconds, the blue light will start flashing quickly, indicating that the printer’s network settings have been reset.
Step 2: Set Up the Printer on Your New Wi-Fi Network
Option 1: Using WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)
- Ensure your router supports WPS. You should see a WPS button on your router. If your router doesn’t have a WPS button, proceed to Option 2 (manual setup).
- Press and hold the Wireless button on your printer until the blue light starts flashing quickly.
- Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your router.
- The printer will attempt to connect to the network. The blue light should stop flashing and stay on solid when the connection is successful.
Option 2: Manual Wi-Fi Setup (Using HP Smart App)
- Install HP Smart on your Mac (if you haven’t already). You can download it from the Mac App Store.
- Open HP Smart and select Add Printer.
- If your printer is not automatically detected, select "My Printer is Not Shown" and follow the prompts to manually connect your printer to the new Wi-Fi network.
- You’ll be asked to enter your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and Wi-Fi password. Make sure your printer is nearby your Wi-Fi router during this process.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
Step 3: Confirm Printer Connection
- Press and hold the Information button (the small “i” button) on the printer for a few seconds.
- The printer will print a configuration page showing its network status, including the current IP address and Wi-Fi connection.
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
