Says Driver unavailable

It is pulsing purple or blue? ("Printer is in wireless setup mode. See Reset Wifi for more."

But that tells me to disconnect the Starlink router and I am afraid to do that

Hi @Leslie0513,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that your HP ENVY 6055e printer on a new Starlink WiFi network may require a few specific steps. I would request you to please follow the steps:

Reset Network Settings on Printer

  • On the printer, press and hold the Wireless button (or Wireless + Cancel together, depending on model) for about 5 seconds until the light flashes.
  • This restores network defaults so you can reconnect fresh.

Prepare Printer for Wireless Setup

  • Make sure the printer is powered on.
  • Check the light on the printer:
  • Pulsing blue/purple = ready for wireless setup.
  • Keep the printer near your Starlink router for a strong signal.

Use HP Smart App for Setup

  • On your computer or mobile device, download HP Smart from:
  • Windows/Mac: https://www.hp.com/go/hpsmart
  • iOS / Android app store
  • Open HP Smart.
  • Tap Add Printer → Wireless.
  • Select your Starlink network and enter the Wi-Fi password.
  • The app will automatically detect the printer in setup mode.

Resolve “Driver Unavailable” Issue

  • Make sure your computer OS is up-to-date.
  • Download the latest full-feature HP driver for ENVY 6055e:
    https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers
  • Install the driver before attempting wireless connection.
  • After installation, retry connecting via HP Smart app.

Print Test Page

  • Once connected, open HP Smart or printer driver.
  • Print a test page to confirm successful connection.

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!
