Hi @Steph-1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Internet Connection: Ensure that your internet connection is stable. You can test this by connecting another device to the Wi-Fi network. If the internet issue persists, contact your service provider.

Restart Devices: Restart both your printer and desktop. Sometimes a simple reboot can resolve connectivity issues.

Reinstall Printer Software:

Connect Printer to Wi-Fi:

  • Use the HP Smart app (available for download on the HP website) to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
  • Ensure you are using the correct Wi-Fi password.

USB Connection Setup:

  • If Wi-Fi issues continue, consider connecting your printer directly to your desktop using a USB cable. Most HP printers support both Wi-Fi and USB connections.
  • Follow the instructions on your printer setup screen to complete the USB connection.

Firmware Update:

  • Ensure your printer firmware is updated. You can check this on the HP support page under the firmware section to fix known issues.

I hope this helps.

I tried this and I still can't get the internet back on plus it has a big E on the screen where it shows the ink status. I unplugged it and plugged back in and still no internet. Let me know.
