Hi @la_tx1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Updating the Wi-Fi network settings on your HP DeskJet Plus 4152 after replacing your Wi-Fi modem can be done through several methods. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you reconnect your printer to the new Wi-Fi network:

Method 1: Using the HP Smart App

Download the HP Smart App:

  • If you don't already have it, download and install the HP Smart app from the HP website or from your device's app store (available for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android).

Prepare the Printer:

  • Turn on your printer and make sure it’s within range of your Wi-Fi network.

Reset Network Settings:

  • On your printer, press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button at the same time for 3 seconds. This will reset the network settings.

Open HP Smart App:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your device.

Add Your Printer:

  • Click on the “+” icon to add a new printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to select your printer model.

Connect to Wi-Fi:

  • When prompted, choose your new Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
  • The app will guide you through connecting the printer to the new Wi-Fi network.

Method 2: Using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)

Prepare the Printer:

  • Turn on your printer.

Activate WPS on Your Printer:

  • On the printer, press and hold the Wireless button for about 3 seconds or until the wireless light starts blinking.

Activate WPS on Your Router:

  • Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your router. This process varies by router, so consult your router’s manual if needed.

Connection:

  • Wait for the printer to connect to the network. The wireless light will stop blinking and stay solid once connected.

Method 3: Using the Printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS)

Connect Printer to Computer via USB:

  • Temporarily connect your printer to your computer using a USB cable.

Access Printer’s EWS:

  • Open a web browser on your computer and type in the printer’s IP address. You can find the IP address by printing a network configuration page from your printer.

Login and Configure Wi-Fi:

  • Log in to the EWS (default credentials are often admin/admin).
  • Navigate to the network settings section and configure the new Wi-Fi settings by entering your new SSID (network name) and password.

Disconnect USB Cable:

  • After saving the settings and ensuring the printer is connected to the new Wi-Fi network, you can disconnect the USB cable.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
