I’m trying to connect my printer to my WiFi through my phone but when I select it, it asks for a password. I need my password and have no clue where to see what it is

I've been trying for the past week to connect my printer to my phone and laptop and the advice has a bit complicated and hasn't worked. However today I found out that whoever provides your router, you can go into the security settings and change it from 3 to 2. Worked for me anyway.
