I have a HPLaserJetM209dw printer. My computer is connected to the wireless network, but I can't get the printer to be on the same network.

Hi @Kathy2345,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're having trouble getting your HP LaserJet M209dw printer on the same network as your computer after getting a new router. Follow these steps to reconnect your printer to the network:

Restart Your Printer and Router: Ensure that both your router and printer are working properly by restarting them. Unplug them from the power source, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug them back in.

Reconfigure Wireless Settings:

  • On your printer, access the Wireless Setup Wizard.

  • From the printer control panel, access the Wireless or Setup menu, and select it to find the Wireless Setup Wizard option.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to select your network name (SSID) and enter the password to connect to your Wi-Fi network.

Use the HP App:

Reinstall Printer Software:

  • Visit https://support.hp.com/us-en  and download the latest drivers and software for your HP LaserJet M209dw printer.

  • Follow the installation process, making sure to select the option for a wireless network connection during setup.

Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure that your computer is connected to the same network that you are trying to connect your printer to.
  • Sometimes, computers can connect to a different frequency band or network (such as a guest network). Verify this in your computer's network settings.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
