Thanks for using the HP Support Community.
Minimum Operating specs for the printer is MacOS Sierra 10.12
Minimum System Requirements for Macintosh | MacOS Sierra v10.12 (previously OS X), macOS High Sierra v10.13, macOS Mojave v10.14, macOS Catalina v10.15, 2 GB Available Space, Internet Access |

Would suggest doing a reset first:

After a reset, setup using an Android or iPhone by donwloading and instaling HP Smart app.
