Hi @LONRH,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand how frustrating technical issues can be, especially when they disrupt something as essential as printing. Let's try to troubleshoot the problem step by step.
- Check Physical Connections: Ensure that all cables connecting your printer to your computer and power source are securely plugged in. Sometimes, a loose cable can cause connectivity issues.
- Restart Your Devices: Turn off your printer and computer, then turn them back on after a minute or two. This simple step can often resolve many connectivity issues by refreshing the connection.
- Check Wi-Fi Connection: Make sure your Wi-Fi network is working properly. If other devices can connect to the internet without any issues, then your Wi-Fi is probably fine. If not, you may need to troubleshoot your router or contact your internet service provider.
- Printer Connection: Check if your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer. You can usually do this by printing a network configuration page from your printer's settings menu.
- Printer Software: Ensure that the printer drivers and software on your computer are up to date. Sometimes, outdated software can cause compatibility issues. You can usually update your printer's software through the HP website or by using the software that came with your printer.
- Firewall or Antivirus Software: Sometimes, firewall or antivirus software can block the connection between your printer and computer. Check your security software settings to see if your printer is being blocked. You may need to add an exception for your printer to allow it to communicate with your computer.
- Reset Network Settings: If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting your printer's network settings to default. Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to do this.
I hope one of these steps helps you get your printer back up and running.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
