@Chrifbee, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M148dw is showing IPv4 disabled on the Network Summary Report and not working wirelessly, here are the steps to re-enable IPv4 and restore wireless functionality:

Enable IPv4 from the Printer Control Panel

  • On the printer’s 2-line LCD panel, press the Setup button (gear icon).
  • Navigate to Network Setup > Advanced Settings > TCP/IP Settings.
  • Select IPv4, and ensure it is enabled.
  • If disabled, toggle it to Enabled, then press OK.

Restore Wireless Settings

  • Go to Network Setup > Restore Network Defaults.
  • Confirm the reset. This will clear any misconfigured settings.
  • Wait for the printer to reboot.

3. Reconnect to Wi-Fi

  • From the control panel, go to Wireless Setup Wizard.
  • Select your Wi-Fi network (SSID) and enter the password.
  • Once connected, print a Network Configuration Page to confirm IPv4 is now active and an IP address is assigned.

Install/Reinstall HP Software

Verify Wireless Communication

  • On your PC, open Command Prompt and type: ping <printer_IP_address> Replace <printer_IP_address> with the one shown on the Network Configuration Page.
  • If you get replies, the printer is successfully connected.

Optional: Use HP Smart App/HP App

  • Download the HP Smart app to manage wireless setup and printing.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
