Product: DESKJET2130
Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

I am using MacBook Air, Monterey OS and I have tried to use my HP Deskjet 2130 Printer. However, it shows that the printer is idle. I have tried resetting the printer set up and still it does not work.

Your suggestions are highly appreciated.

Hi,

Let's download and install below drivers package:

https://ftp.ext.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/macOS12/hp...

 

During the installation, be sure to follow the Security Settings prompt and allow the installation within System Preferences > Security & Privacy.

 

Once the installation completes open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners and remove your printer, then click the plus sign and add it back, be sure to select the printer model within the Use drop-down menu and check for any difference.
