All of a sudden I lost the capability to print. Smart Print and the Support Assistant recognize the printer and it's selected as the default. I used the Print Doctor and I get the message that says the printer is installed but it's listed as off line and the connection is Inactive. On the printer the network icon is blinking. I've recycled the router and the printer accordance with the instructions provided. Unfortunately I still can't print using the Smart Print app on my iPhone or any application print options from my laptop. I would appreciate any assistance anyone can provide that will allow me to correct this issue and print again without buying a new printer. Thanks

Hi @DanLL123,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you've already taken some troubleshooting steps, but let's try a few more to see if we can resolve the issue.
- Check Network Connection: Ensure that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your devices (iPhone and laptop). If the network icon on the printer is blinking, it might indicate a connection issue. Try reconnecting the printer to your Wi-Fi network. You may need to go through the printer's setup process again to establish a stable connection.
- Restart Devices: Turn off your printer, iPhone, and laptop. Then turn them back on. Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.
- Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP DeskJet 4155e printer. You can usually do this through the printer's settings menu or HP's website. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve connectivity issues and improve printer performance.
- Check Printer Settings: Make sure the printer is set to online mode. On the printer's control panel, navigate to the network settings and ensure that the printer is not set to offline mode.
- Reinstall Printer Drivers: Uninstall the printer drivers from your laptop and reinstall them. Sometimes corrupted drivers can cause printing issues. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.
- Reset Printer: If none of the above steps work, you may need to reset your printer to its factory settings. Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset. Keep in mind that this will erase any custom settings you've configured on the printer.
Hopefully, one of these steps will help you resolve the printing issue with your HP DeskJet 4155e printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Alden4,
I've been sick for the last couple of days and haven't had the opportunity to apply your solutions/suggestions. An inability to concentrate and focus righyt now wouldn't do your work and thought justice. I'll get to it in the next day or two.
