Hi @Nomads5545,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When you change your internet provider, you may need to reconfigure your HP DeskJet 2620 All-In-One Printer to connect to the new wireless network. The permanently lit orange light typically indicates a connection or setup issue. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you reconnect your printer to your new wireless network.

Prepare your network information: Gather the following information, as you will need it during the setup process:

  • New Wi-Fi network name (SSID)
  • New Wi-Fi network password (WPA/WPA2 key)

Ensure Printer is Ready:

  • Turn on your HP DeskJet 2620 printer.
  • Make sure there is paper in the input tray and ink cartridges are properly installed.

Access the Wireless Setup Wizard:

  • On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless button or open the Wireless menu (the icon looks like a wireless signal).
  • Select "Settings" or "Setup," then choose "Wireless Setup Wizard."

Select the New Network:

  • The printer will scan for available networks. Select your new Wi-Fi network from the list.

Enter Wi-Fi Password:

  • When prompted, enter the Wi-Fi network password (WPA/WPA2 key) you gathered in step 1.
  • Use the printer's on-screen keyboard or buttons to enter the password.

Confirm Settings:

  • After entering the password, the printer will attempt to connect to the network. Once it successfully connects, it will display a confirmation message.

Test the Connection:

  • Print a network configuration page or a test page from the printer's control panel to verify that it's now connected to the new network.

Install Printer Software (if necessary):

  • If you have not installed the printer software on your computer for this new network, you may need to do so. You can typically download the software from the HP website or use the installation CD that came with your printer.

Update Printer Drivers (Optional):

  • To ensure optimal performance, consider checking for updated printer drivers on the HP website and installing them on your computer.

Restart Devices:

  • If you continue to face connectivity issues, try restarting your printer and computer. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connection problems.

Following these steps should help you reconnect your HP DeskJet 2620 printer to your new wireless network. Remember that the printer and computer should be on the same Wi-Fi network for successful printing and scanning.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
