Hi @Lindasplace,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for explaining the situation. When you switch to a new internet provider, your HP Envy 6400e All-in-One printer needs to be reconnected to the new Wi-Fi network because it stores the old network credentials.

Here’s how to fix it:

1. Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode on the Printer

This makes the printer discoverable again:

  • Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button together for 3 seconds.
  • The Wireless light should start blinking blue, indicating setup mode.

2. Use HP App

  • Download or open the HP App on your computer or mobile device.
  • Click Add Printer → Select your printer.
  • Enter your new Wi-Fi name and password when prompted.
  • Complete the setup.

👉 Download HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site.

3. Alternative: Use Embedded Web Server (EWS)

If HP Smart doesn’t detect the printer:

  • Connect the printer to your PC via USB.
  • Open a browser and go to http://127.0.0.1 or find the printer’s IP address.
  • Access Network Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard.
  • Enter your new Wi-Fi credentials.

4. Update Firmware

After reconnecting, update the printer firmware for best compatibility: 👉 HP ENVY 6400e All-In-One Printer series | HP® Support.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
