Where do I find the WPS PIN for my printer (DIRECT-CB-HP-ENVY 5000 series) I've looked on the printer, inside the wireless setup settings etc. and can't find it. I can't move forward with the installation without it.  HELP!

Hi @Khoov01,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that printer is locked and looking for WPS PIN for your HP ENVY 5000 series printer is typically used to establish a secure connection between your printer and wireless network. I would request you to please follow the steps:

Printer Control Panel

  • On the printer, press the Wireless button or go to Wireless Settings.
  • Select Wi‑Fi Protected Setup (WPS).
  • Choose PIN method.
  • The printer will display an 8‑digit PIN on the screen.

Printer Information Page:

  • You can print a Network Configuration Page or Wireless Test Report from the printer panel. This page may list the WPS PIN.
  • To do this, go to the printer's Setup menu,
  • Select Reports, and choose Network Summary or Wireless Network.
  • Test Report.

HP Smart App:

  • If you're using the HP Smart app, follow the on-screen instructions for wireless setup, and the app may prompt you to generate the WPS PIN as part of the process.

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!
