I’m trying to set up the instant ink subscription but it keeps saying my printer is offline - it is definitely on line and shows as such on my laptop settings and on the printer itself it has a steady blue light. I’ve reset everything and still have the same problem. Help!

Do you have a Mac or pc?

I was having the same frustrating problem!   Then I discovered a 'work around' for my Mac. Maybe this will help you:

System Preferences -- Printers & Scanners  -- Open Print Queue -- Settings -- Find printer (Press until it chimes. It takes me normally 2 presses).  It wakes my machine up and I can print without having to walk across the room, pull my machine out, turn the switch off, wait, and turn it on again. (Which often didn't work and I would have to unplug it and plug it in again)

If you have a Mac, also make sure this machine is listed as your default printer.  Not sure why, but I read that it makes a difference.

I've had HP printers for years and liked that they would 'sleep' and 'wake up' as needed.  This new system is a ridiculous waste of time that I hope they fix in the future!

Hope this helps.
