Hi @Anned46,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Envy 6400 All-in-One isn’t connecting to your new AT&T Air router. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Restart the printer and router
Power off the printer, unplug your AT&T Air router for 20 seconds, then turn everything back on.
This refreshes the network and helps the printer detect the new Wi-Fi.

Re-enable Wi-Fi Setup Mode on the printer
On the printer, press and hold the Wi-Fi button and the Cancel (X) button together for 3 seconds.
This puts the printer back into “Setup Mode” so HP Smart can find it.

Use HP Smart to reconnect the printer
Open the HP Smart app → Add Printer → Select your HP Envy 6400.
When prompted, enter your new Wi-Fi password and finish the setup.

Check the router’s Wi-Fi band
Your printer works only on 2.4 GHz, not 5 GHz.
Make sure your AT&T Air router is broadcasting a 2.4 GHz network (most routers combine them automatically).

Move the printer closer to the router
Place the printer within 6–10 feet of the router during setup.
AT&T Air uses a wireless gateway, so distance and walls can affect signal strength.

Reset the printer’s network settings (if needed)
On the printer: Press SetupNetworkRestore Network Settings.
Then retry adding it through HP Smart.

Check the Wi-Fi password carefully
AT&T Air passwords are case-sensitive.
Make sure there are no extra spaces or special characters being mis-typed.

I hope this helps.
