To connect your HP 6400e printer to your new T-Mobile Internet, follow these steps.
Using the HP Smart App
Download HP Smart App:
- If you haven't already, download the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer. It is available for both Android and iOS devices as well as Windows and Mac computers.
Open the HP Smart App:
- Launch the HP Smart app on your device.
Add a New Printer:
- Click on the "+" sign or "Add Printer" option.
Set Up a New Printer:
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set up a new printer. Select your HP 6400e printer from the list of available printers.
Connect to Wi-Fi:
- The app will guide you to connect the printer to your T-Mobile Internet. Ensure your printer is powered on and within range of your Wi-Fi network.
- Select your T-Mobile Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the Wi-Fi password.
Complete Setup:
- Follow the remaining instructions to complete the setup. The app will notify you once the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network.
Using the Printer Control Panel
Power On the Printer:
- Ensure your printer is turned on.

Open the Wireless Settings:
- On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button or navigate to the Wireless Settings menu.
Select Wi-Fi Setup Wizard:
- Choose the Wi-Fi Setup Wizard option. This will start searching for available wireless networks.
Choose Your T-Mobile Network:
- Select your T-Mobile Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks.
Enter Wi-Fi Password:
- Enter the Wi-Fi password for your T-Mobile network using the printer's control panel.
Confirm Connection:
- Once the connection is established, the printer should display a confirmation message.
WPS Push Button (if supported)
Enable WPS on the Printer:
- Press the Wireless button on your printer until the wireless light starts blinking.
Press WPS Button on Router:
- Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your T-Mobile router. This should automatically connect the printer to the Wi-Fi network.
