Hi @Brenda247,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Envy 6155e printer connects to Wi-Fi but then immediately shows “Not Connected”, it’s likely due to one of the following:

1. Restart Everything

  • Power off your printer, router, and laptop/phone.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Power them back on in this order: router → printer → device

2. Reconnect Using HP Smart App

  • Download or open the HP Smart App.
  • Tap “+” to add your printer.
  • Choose “Set up a new printer” and follow the steps.
  • Make sure your printer is in setup mode (Wi-Fi light blinking).
    • If not, press and hold the Wireless button on the printer until it blinks.

3. Check Router Settings

  • Ensure your router is broadcasting on 2.4 GHz (not just 5 GHz).
  • Disable MAC address filtering or AP isolation if enabled.
  • Make sure the printer is not too far from the router.

4. Assign a Static IP (Advanced)

  • Open the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS):
    • Type the printer’s IP address into a browser.
  • Go to Network > IPv4 Configuration.
  • Set a manual IP address to prevent disconnections.

5. Update Printer Firmware

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
