Hi @Artelements,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

If your HP DeskJet 4100 is having issues connecting to the Wi-Fi network, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

Check Printer Status:

  • Ensure that the printer is turned on and that the Wi-Fi indicator light is blinking or solid, indicating connectivity status.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your printer, router, and computer or mobile device to clear any temporary connection issues.

Verify Wi-Fi Network:

  • Confirm that your Wi-Fi network is functioning properly and that you are connected to the correct network. Check if other devices are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network without problems.

Reconnect to Wi-Fi:

  • On the printer, access the settings menu and reconnect to the Wi-Fi network. Ensure that you are entering the correct network name (SSID) and password.

Use HP Smart App:

  • Download and install the HP Smart app on your device, which can assist in setting up the printer on the network. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. You can do this using the HP Support Assistant or the HP Smart app.

Printer and Network Compatibility:

  • Verify that the printer is compatible with your Wi-Fi network frequency. Some printers may not support the 5GHz band, so ensure you are using the 2.4GHz band.

Reset Network Settings:

  • As a last resort, you can reset the network settings on your printer and set up the Wi-Fi connection again from scratch.

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!
