Can someone please help me with, i recently changed my wifi network and password. And i need to reconnect my HP M110 Laser jet wireless printer. I tried printing and I am able to see the "Direct-d8-HP M110 laserjet" in the drop down menu. When i select it, I get "If needed check the printer to confirm the connection". The wirless icon on the printer is blinking blue. I tried using the HP smart app on my android phone, but it cannot seem to find the printer. Can anyone please help me with this???

Hi @Gerry118,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're encountering some difficulties reconnecting your HP M110we wireless printer to your new Wi-Fi network after changing the network and password. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you through the process:

Prepare your Printer:

  • Ensure that your printer is turned on and that the wireless light is blinking blue, indicating it's ready to connect.
  • Make sure there are no error messages on the printer's display panel.

Access the Printer's Wireless Settings:

  • Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer until the Wireless light starts blinking. This usually takes around 3 seconds.
  • Once the Wireless light starts blinking, release the button. The printer will now be in setup mode.

Connect your Computer to the Printer:

  • On your computer or mobile device, go to your Wi-Fi settings.
  • Look for a network with a name similar to "Direct-d8-HP M110 LaserJet" or something similar.
  • Connect to this network. You may be prompted for a password. If so, the default password is usually found on a label attached to the printer or in the printer's documentation.

Access the Printer's Embedded Web Server:

  • Open a web browser on your computer or mobile device.
  • In the address bar, type the IP address of your printer. You can find this on the printer's network configuration page or by printing a network configuration report from the printer.
  • Once you've entered the IP address, press Enter.

Configure the Wireless Settings:

  • In the printer's Embedded Web Server, navigate to the Wireless or Network settings section.
  • Look for an option to set up a new wireless connection or change the existing one.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to select your new Wi-Fi network and enter the new password.

Complete the Setup:

  • After entering the new Wi-Fi network details, save the changes.
  • Your printer will attempt to connect to the new network. Once connected successfully, the wireless light on the printer should become solid blue.

Verify Connection:

  • Once the printer is connected to the new Wi-Fi network, try printing a test page from your computer or mobile device to confirm that the connection is working properly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
