@Umapandi, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP Smart Tank 589 All-in-One Printer was working fine a week ago but is now unable to connect to Wi-Fi. Let’s walk through some steps to get it reconnected.

Restart Devices

  • Power off your printer, router, and computer/mobile device.
  • Wait for 60 seconds.
  • Power on the router first, then the printer, and finally your computer or mobile device.

Check Wi-Fi Network

  • Ensure your Wi-Fi is working for other devices.
  • Make sure the printer is within range of the router and there are no obstructions or interference.

Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi

Use the HP Smart App or the printer’s control panel:

Using HP Smart App:

  • Download or open the HP Smart App.
  • Tap + to add a printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Using Printer Control Panel:

  • Press and hold the Wireless button until the wireless light starts blinking.
  • Press and hold the WPS button on your router for 3–5 seconds.
  • Wait for the printer to connect. The wireless light will stop blinking and stay solid.

Reset Network Settings (if needed)

If the above steps don’t work:

  • On the printer, press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons together for 5 seconds.
  • This will reset the network settings. Then try reconnecting using the HP Smart App.
