Laptop: Hp 17-cp2060; printer Hp Deskjet 4220e

Printer troubleshoot diagnostics states: no error but test print does not work. It just hangs there... Printing command in apps  give ¨waiting for connection¨ forever...
Printer WIFI test report: no errors. ¨Congratulations with succesfull installation¨. Printer WIFI is visible by laptop.

Problem found and solved. For some reason the laptop did not select the deskjet printer driver (some microsoft driver). Adapted in settings led to message that driver was not installed. Not able to install it from laptop settings. Errors...Reinstalled using Hp Smart. Now Hp Smart asks to install driver (did not do that before when reinstalling WIFI). I deleted the already installed printer first, then reinstall. And now it works. It took me 3 hours to solve this. What value does diagnostic software has if it cannot even detect that a driver is not working or properly installed? Also Hp Smart is not doing a proper job.
