Product: Laser jet printer

Hello, I have an HP laser jet M15w.  I have had for several years.  I just switched internet providers and cannot get it to connect to new wireless provider.  This printer doesn’t have a screen.  My modem does not have a WPS.  I have tried numerous times to use the HP smart app via my iPad but it NEVER finds my printer.  All it does is have that ridiculous circle going round and round.  I have let it circle for up to 20 minutes.  My printer will be in a different room than the modem so connecting it directly is not an option.  What am I doing wrong?  How can I get it to connect?  Is there a website that I can use instead of the useless app?  Thank you
