Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

My printer (MFP M141w) is connected to my network via Wi-Fi. The printer can only connect to 2.4Ghz. If my PC is connected to 5Ghz, it cannot see the printer. What kind of lame network engineering is that?

This is usually not a printer issue but a router configuration issue. Many routers separate 2.4GHz and 5GHz devices or enable client isolation, which prevents devices on different bands from communicating. Check your router settings for options like “AP isolation” “guest network” or band separation, and make sure both bands are on the same local network. The printer being 2.4GHz-only is pretty common, but it should still work with a properly configured Wi-Fi network.

Thank you for your reply; much appreciated. Please note that both configurations have the devices under the same IP pool umbrella. Apparently the problem was from "Network Profile Type" where my 5Ghz was set to "Public network". I changed it to "Private network" and the printer came online. Strangely, when I switched back to "Public network" the printer remained online and worked fine. It was probably a "firewall" refresh issue. 😕
