LaserJet MFP M426fdw

Hello,

since yesterday my LaserJet MFP M426fdw is not accessible over LAN anymore. It is configured with fixed IP 192.168.1.5. I rechecked these settings as well as subnet mask and gateway. The status for LAN remains "initialising" though the printer states that the cable is plugged correctly. When pinging the printer "device is down" is displayed.

When i switch to WiFi everthing works. Any ideas?

How can i check if there silent updates on the printer in the last days? My network configuration hasn't been changed.

Best regards,

B.

Thanks for the hint with LEDs. They are blinking. So i thought it would be the DHCP service. I activated a DHCP on another server. But still the same problem: an IP was received by WiFi but not LAN. Solution was: the attached switch was broken.

Printer is printing over LAN again!

If the LED's on the LAN port are not on/blinking and you are not getting ad IP address the port is defective. You can try to restore the printer to factory defaults.
