HP LaserJet Pro M402dw

Hello all, I have a LaserJet Pro M402dw at my job and it has an interesting issue. When accessing the web GUI by typing in the printers IP address into my browser and then setting the admin password, it does not let me log in. It will take the password and provide me a "sign in" button on the top right (first picture below), however when I click on "sign in" it brings me to a different page with a message "401 Unauthorized" (second picture), acting like I'm not allowed to be on the page because I'm not logged in. This issue persists on pretty much every page after setting the admin password, and I cannot change any settings either on the web GUI or the printer itself, as it is locked behind the admin password and will not let me log in.

The issue persists after several factory restarts, and even having someone come in and change the formatter board and having him tinker around with it to no avail. The issue does not occur if I factory reset the printer and leave no admin password, the issue only props up when an admin password in set on the web GUI. I now come to the community, hoping anyone has any answers to this bizarre problem.
