LaserJetPro M402dw
macOS 10.15 Catalina

LaserJetPro M402dw does not recognize wi-fi network.  There is a blinking blue wi-fi light.  It was working perfectly until I changed routers.  The new router is fine for other Wi-Fi apparatuses.

Did the diagnostics from the on-line chat and got a printout of the Configuration Report and Network Summary.  Configuration Report states for IPv4 and IPv6 status: Waiting for wireless connection and for Network in Use: None.

For Network Summary, under Wireless Network Configuration: Status: Not Connected;  Wireless: ON; Network Name (SSID): Samzel (which is the wi-fi network name for the old router).

I have an iMac, with OS Catalina.

If you got a new router and did not change out the settings from the old router on the printer then that might be the reason. Through the control panel of the printer perform a factory reset and then go through the standard wifi setup for the printer like you did the first time you connected it.

Thanks Repairatrooper.   You were right.

I downloaded the latest HP driver (HP Easy Start) from their website.   The instructions, however, were a bit misleading.  It said to set up the printer for wireless to remove all ethernet/usb connections from computer to printer.  But when I ran the software, it couldn't find the printer.  I finally figured out that my computer MUST be connected to the printer by ethernet or USB.  Once I did this, it was able to upload the newest driver to the printer.  I then removed the ethernet connection and repeated and was able to set it up for WiFi.  Thanks for your help!
