Hi @majagavrilovski,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you've changed your router or network settings, and your HP LaserJet MFP M28w is not appearing in the app or Wi-Fi network list. Follow these steps to reconnect:

Restart Your Devices:

  • Turn off your printer and router.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds, then turn the router back on.
  • Once your router is back online, turn on your printer.

Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode:

  • If your printer does not appear in the Wi-Fi list, it may need to be put back into setup mode.
  • Usually, this can be done by pressing the Wireless button on your printer until it starts blinking.
  • Follow the instructions on your printer's control panel to enter Wi-Fi setup mode.

Use HP Smart App:

  • Make sure the HP Smart App is installed on your device. If not, download it from 123.hp.com or your device’s app store.
  • Ensure your mobile device or computer is on the same network you want the printer to connect to.
  • Open the HP Smart App and attempt to add a new printer. If prompted, enter the WPS PIN from your printer's control panel.

Check Network Settings:

  • Ensure your network is operating at 2.4 GHz, as some HP printers do not support 5 GHz networks.
  • Move the printer closer to your router to ensure the signal is strong.

Manual Wireless Setup (Using WPS):

  • If your router supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), you can press and hold the WPS button on your router and then press and hold the Wireless button on your printer until the wireless light begins to blink. This should establish a connection.

HP Printer Software:

  • On a Windows or Mac computer, use the HP Printer Assistant software to help reconfigure wireless settings.
  • Open the software, go to "Setup" or "Network Setup", and follow the instructions to reconnect the printer to your network.

Advanced Troubleshooting:

  • Print a Wireless Network Test Report from your printer's control panel to help identify issues.
  • Ensure there are no firewall settings blocking your printer from connecting to the network.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

Thank you for the reply, however this is generic advice that I can get myself which I have already tried before contacting you. I have now gone through it all again and am not able to resolve it- even when I delete the software my login remain when I try to reinstall the app and printer is not appearing on the network even though it is under my profile.

I would appreciate any advice to help resolve this.

Many thanks
